Committed to exploring, understanding and conserving fungal biodiversity

Fungal Ecology & Biodiversity Surveys

We undertake fungal surveys for landowners, conservation organisations, community groups and other organisations seeking to better understand the fungal biodiversity of their sites. Surveys range from general fungal recording to targeted surveys for particular species or groups of conservation interest. We combine field identification with photography, microscopy and, where appropriate, DNA analysis to produce accurate and useful biological records. Our survey work can help establish baseline knowledge, identify species and habitats of conservation importance, and provide evidence to inform habitat management and conservation.

Community Mycology & Outreach

We provide guided fungi walks, talks, workshops, identification sessions and practical training for community groups, conservation organisations and the wider public. Our events are designed to make mycology accessible and engaging while developing understanding of fungal ecology, identification and biological recording. We encourage people to participate in fungal recording and citizen science, helping communities develop the knowledge and confidence to explore and better understand their local environment.
